According to the order issued by the collector, on dry day, the purchase-sale, import-export and transportation of liquor from all the liquor shops, bars situated and operating within the boundary of Sheopur Municipality, Sheopur counting area of ​​Sheopur district has also been completely banned.
Reason for by-election in Budhni and Vijaypur
Budhni: Shivraj Singh Chouhan had won the 2023 assembly elections. Later he contested the Lok Sabha elections, won and became a minister at the Centre. Due to this the seat was vacant and a by-election was held.
Vijaypur: In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Congress’ Ramniwas Rawat won from Vijaypur seat, but during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he joined the BJP. Due to this the seat was vacant.
