The date of Haryana assembly elections is coming closer. Elections are to be held in a single phase on 90 assembly seats. Voting will be held on October 1. The counting of votes is to be held on October 5.
Keeping the elections in mind, an order has been issued to keep liquor shops closed. Under the order, there will be a liquor ban in the area up to 3 kilometers adjacent to Haryana. This includes districts like Gautam Buddha Nagar, Baghpat, Aligarh, Mathura, Saharanpur and Shamli of UP. This ban will start 2 days before the voting, i.e. 48 hours before and will continue till the day of counting. Let us know the complete details.
According to the information, district officials have been instructed that liquor shops will remain closed in the UP districts bordering Haryana. The reason behind this is to maintain peace during the elections. Voting will be held on October 1 in Haryana and counting will be held on October 5. In view of this, the ban on liquor will be imposed 48 hours before the voting and will continue till the day of counting. Due to which there will be a dry day in these districts of UP.

Also, the police administration is making every possible effort to ensure security, fair elections and peaceful environment during the elections. To conduct the elections, blockades have been put up at 15 places in Rohtak district. Superintendent of Police Himanshu Garg visited the check posts in Rohtak district on Friday. He also took stock of the security arrangements. Deputy Superintendent of Police, in-charge police station and other officers were also present. The police, along with paramilitary forces, have made strong arrangements for fair elections.
On the other hand, before the assembly elections in Jharkhand, the border areas of Jharkhand and Bihar will be sealed. There will be special surveillance on the river banks in the border areas. An interstate meeting has been held on Thursday in Aurangabad, Bihar regarding the Jharkhand assembly elections.
