Liquor Shops Close: If you are fond of drinking alcohol, then definitely read this news once. It should not happen that you reach the shop during the festival days and find it locked.

Yes… a notification has been issued by the Excise Department for Delhi, according to which, liquor shops in Delhi will remain closed on many national holidays in October and November.

Apart from national holidays, the sale of liquor is also prohibited on certain dates due to election-related reasons. The official notification issued on September 19 said, “In pursuance of the provisions of Rule 52 of the Delhi Excise Rules, 2010, it is hereby ordered that the following dates shall be ‘dry days’ in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Dry Day October: When will liquor shops remain closed?

Dry Day List October: Liquor will not be available on these days in October i.e. it will be ‘dry day’

– On October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, which has already passed
– On October 5, due to election related work, which has already passed
– On October 8, liquor shops will remain closed due to counting of votes for Haryana Assembly elections
– On October 12, liquor shops will remain closed due to Dussehra
– On October 17, liquor shops will remain closed due to Valmiki Jayanti
– On October 31, liquor shops will remain closed due to Diwali

This means liquor shops will remain closed for a total of four days in October.

Dry Day List November : When are the dry days in November
-15 November will be a dry day on Guru Nanak Guruparv.
-24 November is the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, so there will be a dry day.

According to the notification, the dry day restrictions do not apply to hotels with L-15 and L-15F licences, allowing them to serve liquor to people during these periods.
