Collector and District Magistrate Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar has declared dry day on 26 January on the occasion of national festival Republic Day and on 30 January on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Nirvana Day.
He has ordered all Indian and foreign liquor retail shops, FL 4 (a) commercial clubs and FL 7, Sainik canteens to be completely closed on 26th January, Sunday and 30th January, Thursday.
It has also been mentioned in the order that during the dry day, there will be a complete ban on storage, manufacturing, transportation and sale of illicit liquor in the district.
