Life Certificate status: How to check your life certificate was accepted or rejected? Quick step by step guide

Life Certificate : You have submitted your life certificate. But do you know whether the life certificate has been accepted or rejected. What to do if it is rejected? It is mandatory for pensioners to submit their life certificate by 30 November 2024.

Digital Life Certificate

Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric based digital service. It is available to pensioners of central, state government or other government organizations. Pensioners have to submit proof of their survival i.e. life certificate every year. To simplify this process, Digital Life Certificate Service has been started. It makes the process of submitting life certificate easier for pensioners. With Digital Life Certificate, pensioners do not need to physically go to the payment agency to receive pension. They can submit life certificate as per their convenience while sitting at home.

What is life proof?

Jeevan Pramaan, also known as Digital Life Certificate, is an Aadhaar based biometric digital service for pensioners. It is generated using the Aadhaar number and biometrics of the pensioner.

How to check the status of Digital Life Certificate?

After submitting the certificate, you will get information about its acceptance or rejection through SMS.

  • Transaction ID and reason will have to be given in the SMS.
  • To download Digital Life Certificate and check status, visit https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ppouser/login.
  • Login with PRAMAAN ID or Aadhaar number.

What to do if Jeevan Pramaan is rejected?

If your Jeevan Pramaan gets rejected, contact your pension issuing agency immediately. According to the Jeevan Pramaan website, the certificate may get rejected due to incorrect information or biometrics. In such a case, generate a new Jeevan Pramaan (Pramaan-ID) with all the correct information and biometrics. Jeevan Pramaan makes the process of submitting certificates every year easier for pensioners.
