Women are liking the government’s LIC Bima Sakhi scheme a lot. 50 thousand registrations have been received for this scheme in a month. Under this scheme, every woman who has passed 10th standard gets a monthly salary and commission of up to 7 thousand rupees.
Recently, PM Modi launched the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana scheme for the women of the country. It has been just a month since the scheme was launched and it is proving to be a hit. Women are liking this scheme of the government very much. 50 thousand registrations have come for it in a month. Under this, every woman who has passed 10th standard gets a monthly salary and commission of up to Rs 7 thousand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started this scheme as an initiative towards developed India through women empowerment.
50 thousand registrations in a month
LIC said in a statement on Wednesday that after completion of one month of the launch of the scheme, the total registration figure for Bima Sakhi has reached 52,511. Out of these, appointment letters have been issued to 27,695 Bima Sakhis to sell policies and 14,583 Bima Sakhis have started selling policies. LIC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Siddharth Mohanty said, our aim is to recruit at least one Bima Sakhi in every panchayat of the country within a year.
He said that LIC is strengthening the Bima Sakhi stream by preparing women with appropriate skills and empowering them with digital tools. This scheme includes the benefit of monthly honorarium for three years in addition to the commission earned on the sale of the policy.
You will get 7 thousand rupees every month
As per the scheme, each Bima Sakhi will be provided a monthly honorarium of Rs 7,000 in the first year, Rs 6,000 per month in the second year and Rs 5,000 per month in the third year. This honorarium serves as a basic support allowance. Additionally, women agents can earn commission based on their insurance policies. LIC aims to appoint two lakh Bima Sakhis in the next three years. Women aged 18 to 70 years who have completed tenth standard education are eligible to apply.
