ITR Filing Last Date Extension Demand: The last date for filing Income Tax Return (ITR) is today i.e. 31st July 2022. But there are many people who have not been able to file ITR yet. Meanwhile, the demand for extending the last date for filing ITR (ITR Filing Last Date Extension) has intensified. People have demanded to extend the last date for filing income tax returns on social media. Most of the people have said that the Income Tax website is busy. Apart from this, they are also facing many problems. Also know that till now more than 5 crore people have filed ITR.

Penalty will be imposed for not filing ITR today
Know that although income tax returns can be filed even after July 31, taxpayers who do so may also be fined. If someone’s income is more than 5 lakhs per year, then he will have to pay a fine of Rs 5000. At the same time, if someone’s income is less than Rs 5 lakh per year, then he will have to pay Rs 1 thousand as fine.

People are facing this problem in filing ITR
In such a situation, there is a loud demand on social media to extend the last date for filing ITR. A user named Shubham tweeted, ‘I am not able to verify my ITR-3. When I proceed to verify, an error pops up. Sharing the details. Please help as soon as possible.
At the same time, a user named Simran, tagging the official Twitter handle of Income Tax India, tweeted, ‘Portal has crashed after making payment. I have challan but I am not able to file final ITR. help please.’
A user named Suraj on Twitter wrote that I have filed ITR today and have also made the payment. But till now I have not received the receipt. Please check.
