ITR Filing: CBDT has extended the deadline for companies to file Income Tax Returns for the assessment year 2022-23 till November 7, 2022.
ITR Filing: The Finance Ministry has extended the deadline for filing income tax return for the assessment year 2022-23 till 7 November, giving a big relief to the companies. The last date for filing ITR by companies was October 31. CBDT (Central Board of Direct Taxes), the apex decision making body in income tax and corporate tax matters, said in a notification that the deadline for filing audit reports was extended last month. Therefore, the deadline for ITR filing has also been extended.

CBDT extends deadline
The CBDT said in a notification, “CBDT has extended the deadline for furnishing of return of income under sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Income-tax Act for the assessment year 2022-23 from October 31, 2022 to November 7, 2022. has given.”
Domestic companies are required to file their income tax returns for the financial year 2021-2022 by October 31, 2022. The due date for filing ITR will be November 30, 2022 for companies that are subject to transfer pricing norms.
