IRCTC New Plan: Indian Railways is preparing to further strengthen the ticket booking facility for passengers. By March 2025, now railway passengers will be able to book train tickets at a faster speed. Indian Railways unit Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC is soon going to increase the ticketing capacity so that the passengers booking the ticket do not have to face trouble in the waiting period. According to the news of News18, this process has started. Increasing the ticketing capacity will be very convenient for the common passengers.

According to the news, after this step of IRCTC, the tickets of the passengers will be booked online and there will be no waiting time after clicking. It is being told that this process will start immediately and passengers will get tickets within a short interval. IRCTC will also ensure that the passengers do not have to face the problem of money being deducted and then the ticket not being issued. Very soon passengers will not have any problem while booking tickets.

Booking capacity is less than the booking process
IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Jain spoke about the reason behind waiting for long hours for problems like money deduction while booking tickets, payment failure or waiting time for confirmed tickets. Jain said that due to low capacity, these processes take a long time. That is, the booking capacity is less than the number of people processing online ticket booking, due to which passengers have to face trouble.
Railways had increased the capacity earlier also
In the year 2023, Indian Railways had decided to increase the ticket booking capacity from the current 25,000 to 2.25 lakh per minute. According to the news, IRCTC has three crore users across the country. More than nine lakh tickets are being booked online every day. These include online booking by passengers as well as agent booking. More than two crore passengers travel by train every day.
