Internet services suspended: Government shuts down internet in view of farmers’ new strategy

Internet services suspended- In view of the farmers’ march towards Delhi, internet services have been suspended in some parts of Ambala, Haryana. As per the orders issued by the state government, internet services have been suspended in the villages of Dangdehri, Lohgarh, Manakpur, Dadiana, Mardi Gal, Choti Gal, Libersa, Kalu Majra, Devi Nagar, Saddopur, Sultanpur and Kakru villages adjoining the Shambhu border of Ambala till December 17.

According to the orders issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sumita Mishra, this suspension will be in effect till December 17. This suspension will be in effect from 6 am on December 14 to 11.59 pm on December 17.

Meanwhile, while going towards Delhi from Shambhu border, the farmers tried to cross the barricade, after which the police took strict action. On this occasion, the police fired tear gas shells and water cannons at the farmers, due to which 15 farmers were injured.

After the farmers were injured, the leadership leading the farmers’ movement has called back the third batch of 101 farmers who had marched to Delhi, under which the batch has gone back to the protest camp. The next strategy in this regard will be announced by the leader of the movement, Sarwan Singh Pandher, in a press conference.

Earlier, Haryana Police has also stopped the third batch of farmers, but when the farmers did not stop, Haryana Police has started using water cannons. Earlier, SP Ambala, dismissing the arguments of the farmer leader, referred to the committee formed by the Supreme Court and the status quo on the border of July 24. He said that the meeting of the high-powered committee will be held in 3-4 days. The next hearing has been scheduled for the 18th.

Meanwhile, giving his reaction on the march of the third batch of farmers from Shambhu border to Delhi, Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij has said that the Supreme Court committee is holding discussions with the farmers. He is not aware of what the discussions are going on and how far they have reached, but the Supreme Court has said that the talks are going well and it needs time. Therefore, the farmers should stop their agitation for a while. The farmers should accept the opinion of the Supreme Court.
