Indigo Business Class: After the merger of Vistara with Air India, a new race has started in the airline industry of the country. This race is of ‘Business Class Run’. Yes, the country’s largest budget airline Indigo has started this facility in the flight of Delhi-Mumbai route from 14 November.
Indigo has provided the facility of 12 business class seats on this route. Till now Air India and Vistara had the largest market of business class category in the country. But after the recent merger of Vistara, this business was limited to Air India. But now after the entry of Indigo, there will be a direct competition between Air India and Indigo.

Budget airline IndiGo operated its first flight with ‘business’ category seats on the Delhi-Mumbai route on Thursday (14 November). In a statement issued by the company, it was said that in the coming time, these seats will also be available in the airline’s commercial and busy route flights in the country. On the occasion of the launch of business class flights, IndiGo CEO Peter Albers posted on LinkedIn that ‘IndiGo had its first ‘business’ category flight’.
IndiGo, which operates 2200 flights daily, said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “A new chapter is starting. We are celebrating in our first ‘business’ category flight from Delhi to Mumbai.” Let us tell you that IndiGo operates about 2,200 flights daily. Let us tell you that recently on August 5, on the occasion of the completion of 18 years of the airline, MD Rahul Bhatia and CEO Peter Elbers had announced to start the facility of business class from November 14.
The starting price of the ticket is Rs 18018.
At that time IndiGo had said that passengers will get world class comfortable seats and facilities on their business class seats. Extra luggage can be carried in it and the fare will also not be much. The starting price of business class ticket on Delhi-Mumbai route by IndiGo has been kept at Rs 18018. But the fare of business class in other airlines is more than this.
12 seat business class and 208 seat economy class
IndiGo is starting with 12 business class seats in the 220 seat A-321 Neo aircraft. The remaining 208 seats will be economy. But in the coming time, IndiGo plans to start providing business class service in its aircraft on all business air routes of the country. Till now IndiGo was known only for economy class. This will be the first time when IndiGo has tried its hand in business class as well.
