The T-33 tunnel lies between the Chenab Bridge and Katra-Sangaldan. Both took a lot of time to construct. The Chenab Bridge has been constructed but the work on the T-33 is still underway and will be completed next month.
Trains are running on both sides of the tunnel
The work on the railway line (17 km) between Katra and Sangaldan is almost complete, only the work on tunnel T33 is in its final stage. According to Northern Railway, there were continuous challenges in building this tunnel in the mountain. There were many difficulties in the stone mountain. Currently, trains run from Kanyakumari to Katra and from Baramulla to Sangaldan in the Kashmir valley. After the track is ready between Katra and Sangaldan, Kashmir will be connected to Kanyakumari by rail. In this way, Kashmir can be reached through any train in the country. Of the total 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link line, 255 km has already been completed. The new rail line has also received CRS clearance.

Its total length is 1315 meters, arch is 467 meters and height from the river bed is 359 meters. The bridge is also capable of withstanding winds blowing at a speed of 260 kilometers per hour. Its lifespan will be 120 years.
Features of the railway line
The USBRL project has 38 tunnels (combined length 119 km). The longest tunnel (T-49) is 12.75 km long and is the longest transport tunnel in the country. There are a total of 927 bridges,
