New Delhi. There is good news for the people going to Mumbai from Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Indian Railways has started a new train. Its operation has started from Wednesday.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav flagged off the train through video conferencing. After the operation of the train, people traveling from this city to Mumbai will get convenience. Keeping in mind the people of Purvanchal, Indian Railways has started operating the train between Mau-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Mau. This train is weekly.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the railways are being transformed and 100 percent electrification of railways has been done in Uttar Pradesh. Railway infrastructure is being strengthened. For this, special attention has been given to investment in Railways, as a result of which new facilities are being provided and employment opportunities are being increased.
The Railway Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is an important and big state from every point of view, in view of which an allocation of Rs 17507 crore has been made in the budget for the expansion and development of railway infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2023-24, which is more than the budget for the year 2009-14.
This is almost 16 times more than the average budget allocation of Rs 1109 crore. At present, railway projects worth Rs 98 thousand crores are going on in Uttar Pradesh. Keeping in view the traffic needs of the next 50 years in Uttar Pradesh, work of redevelopment of 156 stations is being done, in which Mau Jn. Station is also included.
