Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, said that the Railways has made important changes in the UTS on mobile app to provide easy ticketing facility to the passengers traveling in ordinary class. Under this, the distance limit for booking tickets through this app has been removed, due to which now general tickets can be booked from any place.
You will get general train ticket sitting at home
A passenger can book an unreserved ticket through the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app. He said that now the distance limit for booking general tickets has been removed in the app. With the introduction of this facility, now passengers can book general tickets from any place.
20 kilometer limit reached
According to a statement, earlier the maximum distance limit for booking general tickets through UTS on mobile app was 20 kilometers, that is, no passenger could book a ticket if the distance from the station platform was more than 20 kilometers. Now with the removal of distance limit, general tickets can be booked online from anywhere.
However, no change has been made in the minimum distance of Geo Facing in the app, under which the passenger cannot book general tickets online from the platform and inside the train.
According to this, through the facility of UTS on Mobile App, the passenger gets an easy interface using which the passenger can easily make paperless general ticket/platform ticket/season ticket on the mobile, this saves the time of the passenger as well. Paper is saved and environmental protection is promoted.
