Indian Railways has cancelled the Vande Bharat Express train running from New Delhi to Vaishno Devi for the next 50 days. The reason behind this is said to be the yard remodeling of Jammu Tawi yard. This train will not run from January 16 to March 6, 2025.

There is a bad news for the passengers going to visit Vaishno Devi. Indian Railways has canceled the Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra for the next 50 days. Out of the two pairs of Vande Bharat services, only one pair (22439/40) has been canceled. According to Northern Railway, the train has been canceled due to yard remodeling of Jammu Tawi yard.

Vande Bharat train will not run between New Delhi and Katra from today i.e. Thursday 16 January to 6 March 2025. This semi high-speed train between the two cities is run and maintained by Northern Railway. This train is a major means of passengers going to Vaishno Devi.

When does this Vande Bharat run

The semi high-speed train runs all days of the week except Wednesday. This train departs from New Delhi at 6 am and reaches Katra at 2.05 pm. On the return journey, the train departs from Katra at 2.55 pm and reaches the national capital at 11 pm.

During its journey, the train stops at four stations en route. These include Ambala Cantonment, Ludhiana Junction, Pathankot Cantonment and Jammu Tawi. Passengers get the option of AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car in Vande Bharat Express.

To travel in AC Chair Car between New Delhi and Katra, a passenger has to pay Rs 1665, while the ticket for Executive Chair Car costs Rs 3055. This train was inaugurated by Home Minister Amit Shah.
