Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express on July 7, 2023. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train running in Uttar Pradesh. For the convenience of railway passengers, Railways has decided to operate Vande Bharat Express train between Gorakhpur and Lucknow 6 days a week (except Saturdays).

Please inform that the distance from Gorakhpur to Lucknow is 299 kms. Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat train (train number 22549) will start from Gorakhpur at 06.05 am. After this, via Sahjanwa, Khalilabad, Babhanan, Mankapur, Ayodhya and Barabanki it will reach Lucknow Junction at 10:20 am. Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train (train number 22550) will leave Lucknow at 7:15 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 11:25 pm.

Vande Bharat is being run rapidly on many railway routes in the country by the Modi government and rail connectivity is being improved between big cities. So far, about 50 Vande Bharat trains are running on many routes in the country. The special thing about these trains is that the occupancy rate of most of these trains is better.
