Know about the rule of sleeping in lower berth
According to Railway Rules, passengers are allowed to sleep on their seats only from 10 pm to 6 am in the night. In such a situation, if you have been allotted a lower berth, then you can sleep on your seat only from 10 pm to 6 am. After this, if your fellow passengers demand to sit on the seat, then you cannot refuse them to sit. At the same time, during the night, you cannot go to your seat before 10 o’clock in the night.
Know about the rule of sleeping in the middle berth
Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has also fixed the rule of sleeping in the middle berth. According to the rules of Indian Railways, if you have been allotted a middle seat, then you can sleep on it only from 10 pm to 6 am. After this you have to open your seat, so that the co-passenger can travel comfortably sitting on the seat. Along with this, if any passenger prevents you from opening the berth between 10 pm and 6 am, then you can complain to the railway or TTE.
TTE cannot check passenger ticket at night
According to the rules of Indian Railways, if a passenger boards the train at night, TTE cannot demand to show him the ticket at night. TTE does not get permission to check tickets from 10 pm to 6 am in the night. Railways have made this rule so that the sleep of the passengers is not disturbed while sleeping at night. Along with this, talking on the phone, listening to songs is also prohibited in the train at night.
