Jhansi. People book confirmed tickets online, but people buying general tickets still stand in long queues at stations. Due to heavy rush, it takes a lot of time and sometimes the train is missed.

There is an easy way to get relief from this problem. Tickets can be bought without standing in line. A new initiative has been started in Jhansi division of North Central Railway.

According to the Public Relations Officer of Jhansi Division of North Central Railway, the restriction of maximum 20 km limit for general tickets has also been abolished through UTS app. UTS on mobile app facility is available for online unreserved railway ticket booking at all stations of Jhansi Division. With this, general tickets of any station can now be purchased from anywhere.

On an average, 5 thousand passengers of Jhansi division are travelling in trains on unreserved booked tickets daily and are avoiding the inconvenience of standing in queues to buy tickets. But still many passengers are standing in long queues to buy tickets due to lack of information, which is not only causing trouble but also wasting time.

How to book general rail tickets online?

An app named UTS is available on Google Play Store, Windows Store and Apple Store. Download the app from the store. Login to book tickets. Register your login ID and mobile number. A message with a four-digit password will be sent, use it. Use R-Wallet to book tickets.

Your mobile will be your ticket. You can show the ticket even if the mobile is in offline mode. There is a facility to book tickets instantly. You can also get MST made.
