India Meteorological Department issues warning of heavy rain for 3 districts

Meteorological Director Dr. Bikram Singh said that on Thursday there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at most places in Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar.

A big update has come in the Uttarakhand weather forecast. IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in three districts including Dehradun. After the alert, the administration has become alert. On the other hand, many roads in the state have been closed due to landslides after the rain.

The work of opening closed roads is going on but bad weather remains a challenge. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in three districts including Dehradun. At the same time, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in the state.

Meteorological Director Dr. Bikram Singh said that on Thursday, light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar. Apart from this, there will be a yellow alert for heavy rain in some places in Dehradun, Nainital and Bageshwar.

There is a possibility of heavy rain here. On Wednesday, 70 mm rain was recorded in Kaladhungi, 16.5 mm in Ramnagar, 8.5 mm in Lansdowne and 6.5 mm in Bajpur area.

This much rain fell in these cities

72.5 mm rain in Doon Heavy rain fell at 3 o’clock on Tuesday night in many areas including Raipur, Jakhan, Mussoorie Road, Chakrata Road, Haridwar Bypass of Doon. Due to 72.5 mm rain in three hours, there was waterlogging at many places.

Water entered some houses as well. According to the Meteorological Department, between 12:15 and 3:15 at night, 51 mm of rain was recorded in UCOST, 59 mm in Mussoorie, 72.5 mm in UTU. On the other hand, the temperature of Dehradun also dropped from 33 degrees to 31.5 degrees Celsius.

Rispana water entered Bhagat Singh Colony of Dehradun.

Heavy rain caused waterlogging in various areas of Dehradun. Due to the entry of Rispana water in Bhagat Singh Colony, debris entered many houses. It took people hours to clean the debris and mud in the streets. Not only this, clouds rained like a disaster in many areas including Shanti Vihar Raipur, Shivpuri Colony.

At around 3 o’clock on Tuesday night, water from Rispana entered Bhagat Singh Colony from the damaged embankment along with debris. People lost their sleep as water filled up to three feet in many houses. The wall of local resident Bholanath’s house collapsed and his belongings were also damaged. He has been living in this colony for the last thirty years.

But, I saw such a scene for the first time. Mohammad Rizwan Mansuri said, even bikes, scooters and cars started floating. People got worried as debris entered their homes and shops. Shahnawaz, Danish, Wajid, Abhishek, Afzal, Salim, Jameel and Mohammad Imran expressed their displeasure over the damaged embankment not being repaired for the last five years.
