Income Tax Refund: Income Tax Department has released the status of tax refund for taxpayers. According to the Income Tax Department, a total tax refund of Rs 2.48 lakh crore has been issued to taxpayers till January 10, 2024.
The Income Tax Department has said that tax refund of Rs 2.48 lakh crore has been given for the assessment year 2023-24 from April 1, 2023 to January 10, 2024.

If you have filed your income tax return and are waiting for your tax return, you can also do so online. Actually, a new type of service has been started on the Income Tax Portal. Through this you can directly check the status of your refund.

After logging into the new Income Tax website, you will get information about your income tax refund at the top. Whether your tax refund has been cleared or not. There is also another method in which one has to go to the e-filing portal. After this you have to click on the section of quick links.
After this you will have to scroll down until you see Know Your Refund Status. You have to click on it. After this you will have to enter your PAN number, assessment year and mobile number. After this you will get an OTP. After entering the OTP, your refund status will be visible.
These people will not get the previous stuck income tax refund
– The ITRs which are to be scrutinized.
– Due to some reason, ITR has not been processed by the assessee.
– ITR process in which more refund is demanded after the ITI process.
