Lucknow. Monsoon has been kind to Uttar Pradesh for the last five days. This trend is expected to continue on Monday as well. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in many districts of Bundelkhand including Kanpur, Banda, Lalitpur today.
Dark clouds have been looming over Kanpur, Banda and Lalitpur since this morning. Apart from this, moderate to heavy rain is expected in Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and its surrounding areas of eastern UP.

It is worth noting that on Sunday, the weather remained pleasant due to strong winds in the state. Rain was also seen at many places, in the capital Lucknow too, by evening, the sky was covered with clouds and it rained heavily for half an hour, which gave relief to the people from humidity. The Meteorological Department has expressed the hope of strong winds on Monday as well.
Heavy rain warning in these districts
The weather department has issued a heavy rain alert for Lalitpur and surrounding areas today. Heavy rain alert has also been issued for Banda, Chitrakoot, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and surrounding areas.
