IMD Weather Update: Many parts of the country are in the grip of extreme heat these days. In Delhi the mercury has reached almost 48 degrees Celsius.

There is no hope of getting respite from the scorching heat that is currently scorching the people of the national capital as well as other states.

North India is in the grip of extreme heat. The temperature in most states and major cities as well as remote areas remains above 40 degrees Celsius. People of states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Gujarat are facing the heat wave. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is no hope of getting relief from this at present. IMD has issued an alert regarding heat wave.

On the other hand, the Health Department has also issued an advisory advising people to be cautious and go out of the house only when absolutely necessary. Those working outside the home have been advised to keep a water bottle with them. At the same time, due to rain in many states of South India, people have got relief from the scorching heat. In view of the harsh weather, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for 5 days.

According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions are expected in many parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, parts of Western Uttar Pradesh, isolated parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, It is predicted that there will be no relief in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch till May 25, 2024. During this period, the temperature in most areas is expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius. In some areas the maximum temperature may even go beyond 45. Along with this, the hot air has made people’s life even more difficult.

Temperature in Sirsa @47.8 degrees

According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of Sirsa, Haryana was recorded at 47.8 degrees Celsius on May 21. Whereas in Pilani, Rajasthan the maximum temperature was 47.2 degrees. The maximum temperature in Agra, Uttar Pradesh was 46.6 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh was 45.6 degrees Celsius. People also remained drenched in the heat in Una of the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh. The temperature was recorded at 42.4 degrees Celsius here and 42.2 degrees Celsius in Nuapada, Odisha. At the same time, in Patna, the capital of Bihar, the temperature was recorded above 40.

Severe heat in Delhi-NCR too.

Weather havoc is expected to continue in the national capital Delhi and surrounding areas. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Wednesday has been predicted to be 43 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may be 31 degrees Celsius. Let us tell you that the maximum temperature in Najafgarh area has crossed 47 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, cities like Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram are also experiencing scorching heat.
