IMD Weather Report 23 July: Heavy rains have thrown life out of gear in Gujarat. Monsoon rains have occurred in many cities including Ahmedabad. Due to this, even posh areas have been flooded. According to the latest updates released by the Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains are expected in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat even today. A low pressure area is likely to develop over Bay of Bengal along and off Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts around July 24. Due to this, there may be heavy rains in its surrounding states as well.

According to the latest updates of the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 23rd and July. Apart from this, there are chances of torrential rains in Punjab from 25 to 27 July. It will continue to rain in Haryana Chandigarh as well. There is a possibility of cloud cover for both these states till July 24-27. As far as Uttar Pradesh is concerned, it may rain here also on 24 and 25 July.

The IMD has said that heavy rains may occur at isolated places over Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat from July 23 to 24. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for this. This alert has been issued for Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Mumbai during the next 24 hours.

Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu from July 23 to 27. IMD has not given any information about Bihar in its latest updates. At the same time, there is every possibility of cloudy weather in West Bengal and Odisha on 23 and 24 July.
