Weather Report 28 June: According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has further advanced into Punjab and Gujarat. Monsoon will be active for five days in the eastern, central, north-west and western states of the country.

During this, heavy rains are expected in 24 states. The states which are expected to receive heavy rains include the northwestern states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. On the other hand, apart from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in central India, warnings of heavy rain have also been issued in Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra in western India.

With this, heavy rains are expected in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu in South India and c and Mizoram in North East India.

Heavy rain expected in UP from today

The weather of Uttar Pradesh will change again from Thursday, June 29. Heavy rains are expected in the entire state till July 1. Light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of the state on July 2 and 3 as well. On Wednesday, June 28, light to moderate rain is expected at some places in western UP. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain and thundershowers occurred in some parts of West UP. Heavy rain was also recorded at one or two places. During this, Lalitpur recorded maximum rainfall of 9 cm. Apart from this, eight cm of rain was recorded in Mawana of Meerut, Khurja of Bulandshahr.

Heavy rain warning in seven districts of Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in seven districts of Uttarakhand for Wednesday. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected at isolated places in Nainital, Champawat, Tehri, Pauri, Dehradun, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. In the rest of the districts of the state, there may be heavy rains along with lightning. On the other hand, 59 roads are closed due to rain. Public Works Minister Satpal Maharaj has called a meeting on Wednesday regarding the closed roads.

Bihar: Record of 122 years of lowest rainfall in June may be broken

Bihar’s record of 122 years of low rainfall in June may be broken. There are only three days left for June to end, but the state has received only 28.6 mm of rain. Data is available with the Meteorological Department since 1901. According to him, the lowest rainfall in June was 41.1 mm in 1926. Whereas in the year 2023, till June 27, only 28.6 mm of rain has been received. According to the Meteorological Department, most parts of the state are not getting favorable conditions for rain during the next three days.
