Due to the western disturbance, light rain and snowfall may occur in the western Himalayan region today on January 23. There may be rain with thunder and lightning at different places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Apart from this, the effect of this weather will also be seen in the states of South India like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Odisha. There is a possibility of rain along with stormy winds in these states.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi-NCR has dropped by 1 degree in the last 24 hours, while the maximum temperature has seen a slight increase. After the rain last night, light fog was felt on Thursday morning. The department has also predicted rain in Delhi-NCR on January 23. The maximum temperature is expected to be 23.97 ° C, while the minimum temperature may be 13.05 ° C.
The effect of fog and cold wave continues
The effect of cold wave will continue in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh for the next few days. Till January 26, dense fog may occur in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam, Manipur, Bihar, Odisha, western Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Sikkim.
