Weather Update: According to the new information from the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha in the next one-two days.
Monsoon has arrived in the country amidst the scorching heat these days. While North India is suffering from severe heat, monsoon is kind to South and Northeast India. Now, according to the new information given by the Meteorological Department, due to the advancement of Southwest Monsoon, the monsoon is moving ahead of its scheduled time.
So far, it has advanced a lot in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal including Lakshadweep and Andaman Nicobar, apart from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Telangana in the south. Apart from this, monsoon has also reached all the states of the Northeast.

There will be heavy rain in these states
According to the latest information from the Meteorological Department, many areas of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the next one or two days. Usually, the monsoon arrives in Bihar by June 10. But this time, it has entered the eastern part of the state about a week earlier.
There may be light rain in the capital this evening
The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather, hot winds at different places, dust storm and light rain with thunder in the capital Delhi on Monday. Along with this, strong winds at the speed of 25 to 35 km per hour are also expected. According to IMD, UP, MP and Chhattisgarh are also likely to get relief from heat and rain in the next two days.
