The weather in Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, has changed as rain fell in Chandigarh on Sunday evening. With this, the cold has increased further. Due to which the cold has taken hold in the entire North India including Punjab.
The cold has started to be felt more in the morning and night in the plains of North India.
Except for some areas of Punjab, the cold in the morning and evening has made people shiver. The temperature in Punjab-Chandigarh is continuously falling. In Punjab-Chandigarh, the temperature has dropped by about 5 degrees in the last three days. Along with this, Adampur in Punjab remained the coldest in the plains of the country, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh.
Due to snowfall in the mountains, the cold in the plains is continuously increasing. After which the temperature in Punjab and Chandigarh has reached normal. Along with this, the Western Disturbance is becoming active since December 8. Due to which there is a possibility of rain in the Himalayan hills and Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh for the next two days. While it rained in Chandigarh on Sunday evening.
Yellow alert issued for fog in 7 districts
According to the information shared by the Meteorological Center, the effect of fog will be seen in 7 districts of Punjab. In which there is a possibility of fog in Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Barnala, Sangrur and Mansa. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert here. This means that the visibility here can reach 50 meters. Apart from today, fog will prevail in Punjab till Sunday.
