The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the weather conditions are expected to change in many states of the country in the next few days. Dense fog in Delhi and adjoining areas has disrupted traffic and visibility. The capital recorded the warmest January since 2019, however, cold winds and dense fog have returned again. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR and northern India in February. A new western disturbance is affecting the weather in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which may lead to rain and snowfall between February 3-6.

Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh may receive light to moderate rains, which will bring down the temperature and cold winds will blow again. Rains are also expected in western Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, which may worsen the weather conditions.
