The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert in Eastern India. At the same time, there is a warning of rain in some states for the next five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of rain, thunderstorm, strong winds in South India for the next five days. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will receive rain on May 10 and 11. Talking about Northeast India, there will be light scattered rains for the next three days, while after that there will be heavy rains for two days.

Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura will receive heavy rains on May 13, while Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya will receive heavy rains on May 14. Apart from this, heavy rains are going to occur over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 14th May. However, there is no sign of any major change in the weather in other parts of the country.

Apart from this, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will receive heavy rains till May 11. The impact of the cyclone can be seen in Tripura and Mizoram. There is going to be heavy rain on 13th May and heavy to very heavy rain on 14th May. Nagaland, Manipur and South Assam will receive heavy rains on May 14. Apart from this, strong winds with a speed of 50-60 kmph are also expected over Andaman and Nicobar.
