IMD Rain alert- Weather will Change Again in This State This Evening, Heavy Rain in THSES Districts

The weather in Punjab may deteriorate from this evening. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in the state for the next two days. Yellow alert has been issued in 15 districts today due to cold wave and dense fog.

During this, the western disturbance is also becoming active. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of thunderstorms in some districts of Punjab. While on December 27, there will be hailstorm in many districts of the state and winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km.

Alert for these districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave and dense fog alert for Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Bathinda and Ludhiana. Meanwhile, according to the IMD, there may be light rain in Delhi on the evening of Thursday, December 26, 2024.

The Meteorological Department has said in its latest forecast that the national capital Delhi will remain partly cloudy on Thursday and there may be light rain in the evening. Meteorologists said that the minimum temperature of Delhi on Wednesday reached 8.4 degrees Celsius, which is 1.5 degrees below the season’s average.

The city’s AQI was recorded in the very poor category on Christmas. Delhi’s 24-hour AQI was recorded at 336 at 4 pm, which falls in the very poor category. The Central Pollution Control Board has expressed concern over the AQI situation. Along with this, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius, which was 2 degrees above normal.

Clouds in the sky, rain

In its forecast, the Meteorological Department has predicted partial cloudiness and light rain in the evening in Delhi on Thursday. Meteorologists said that the surface wind is likely to be from the northeast direction, the speed of which will be less than 4 km per hour in the morning. Due to this, there is a possibility of smoke and moderate fog in most areas. It has also been said that dense fog will prevail at various places in the morning. The wind speed may increase as the day progresses.
