Rain Alert: The weather in Bihar is going to change once again. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm in many districts of the state on 21 and 22 March. In view of this, an orange alert has been issued by the department.
Weather department warning
Ashish Kumar, director of the Meteorological Center in Patna, said that due to the combined effect of western disturbance and cyclonic circulation, hailstorms may occur along with heavy rains in Bihar during the next two days. There is a possibility of lightning and hailstorm especially in Bhabua, Rohtas, Arwal, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Jamui, Banka and Gaya districts.
Strong wind will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour
According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. There is a possibility of 10-30 mm of water falling at many places during the rain. This is expected to bring down the temperature, but at the same time there will be a risk of loss to the farmers.
Advice for farmers
The Meteorological Center has warned the farmers to store the crops kept in the open at a safe place. Also, take necessary measures to protect the Rabi crops from hailstorm. The weather will remain unstable in the state from 20 to 23 March. In such a situation, people need to be cautious.
