On 1 and 2 April, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat state and Rayalaseema may experience rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 60 kmph. From 31 March to 2 April, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam may also receive rain accompanied by strong winds (Weather update latest news).
Strong surface winds may blow at some places in North-West India on 29 March. The speed of the winds may range from 30 kmph to 40 kmph. There will be no significant change in the maximum temperature in Central India during the next 3 days and thereafter it may fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the coming days (Weather latest news).
Heatwave alert is expected in the interior Gangetic West Bengal on 29 March and in Odisha on 29 and 30 March. The weather may remain hot and humid in some parts of Odisha on 29 and 30 March. Heatwave may also occur in Assam and Tripura during 29 to 31 March, and in Gujarat from 29 March to 2 April.
