Cold has knocked in India, and in many parts, dense fog in the morning and evening has increased the trouble of the people. Cold winds have already started making the people shiver, although the sun is shining during the day.
At the same time, rain alert has been issued in some states of South India. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there are signs of cold increasing further in the states of North India in the next few days.
Possibility of fog:
Dense fog in Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, North Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
Severe cold in Himachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, West Assam and Meghalaya.
Nights will be cold : Minimum temperatures are falling in these areas.
South India: Rain alert
Rainy conditions are developing in South India, and heavy rains may occur in some areas. The reason for this is cyclonic circulation in the Maldives and the equatorial Indian Ocean and the trough line is active till the southeast Arabian Sea. These include the states of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and there are indications of heavy rains at different places including Mahe and Karaikal. There is also a danger of thunderstorms and lightning. Strong winds at a speed of 30-40 km / h are expected in the eastern Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, and Comorin region.

North India : Cold with dense fog in the morning and night.
South India : Light to moderate rain and sporadic thunderstorms.
Himalayan region: Severe cold and snowy conditions.

Drive slowly on foggy roads.
Be cautious in rainy and stormy areas.
Wear warm clothes to protect yourself from cold.
