The winter season has started in the country and cold has knocked in many states. The effect of winter has started increasing in Delhi-NCR as well, while the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of dense fog from November 15. Along with this, a drop in temperature is expected. During this time, cold winds and dense fog are expected in many states of North India.

Dense fog and cold wave alert

According to IMD, dense fog is likely to cover Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan after November 15. Especially on November 11 and 12, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab may be covered with fog in the morning and night. Apart from this, the effect of fog and mist can also be seen in Rajasthan and Jharkhand in the next few days. An alert has been issued for dense fog in Rajasthan from November 15.

Cold winds have also started blowing in some cities of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, after November 15, the temperature may drop in other states of North India due to increasing cold and cold wave. The Gwalior-Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh is likely to remain cloudy and receive light rain till the end of November.

Low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, rain alert.

The weather department has warned of rain in 6 states of the country from 11 to 16 November. Heavy rain is expected due to the effect of low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal. During this period, heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.

Heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on November 11. Heavy rains are forecast in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Rayalaseema region on November 12. After this, heavy rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on November 13.

Heavy rains are expected over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka and Karaikal on November 14. Rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karaikal on November 15, and heavy rains are likely over Kerala and Mahe on November 16.

The effect of winter will increase with the change in weather.

The Meteorological Department said that after November 15, there may be a drop in temperature due to snowfall and cold waves in North India. There is a forecast of cloudy weather and light rain in Gwalior and Chambal divisions in the last week of November.

Thus, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog and rain in many states in the next few days, while the effect of winter is likely to increase gradually. Citizens are being advised to be extra cautious due to the change in weather.
