Weather Update- The weather is constantly changing across the country. The condition of the people of the plains is bad due to cold. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu due to the deep depression formed over the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department says that the cold will increase further in the plains due to rain.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of severe cold with dense fog in the morning and night in Delhi-NCR. On Saturday morning, the minimum temperature of Delhi had reached below 7 degrees. There is a dense fog alert in Delhi on Sunday. Rain has been predicted in Delhi after Christmas i.e. on December 26. Its impact will also be seen in Punjab and Haryana. The cold in Delhi-NCR will increase further.

The Meteorological Department said that apart from Delhi NCR, fog will prevail in the plain states, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh on Sunday as well. The maximum temperature in Delhi can be 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 7 degrees. There will be light to moderate fog between December 23 and 26. There is a possibility of rain on December 26 and 27.

Temperatures in the next 24 hours

The Meteorological Department said that there is no significant change in the minimum temperature in northwest and central India during the next 24 hours, after which there will be an increase of 2-3 degrees Celsius. There is no significant change in the minimum temperature in western and eastern India (except Gujarat state) during the next 4-5 days.

The Meteorological Department said that cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in some parts of Himachal Pradesh from December 21 to 23. Cold wave is likely in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh from December 21 to 23 and in Punjab and Rajasthan from December 22 to 23.

The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has affected many districts including South Kolkata. The sky has been cloudy in the districts of South Bengal since Friday morning. It has been raining intermittently since Friday. It has been raining in the coastal districts since Saturday morning. This low pressure in December has disrupted the winter in West Bengal. Along with the low pressure, there is a possibility of rain in North Bengal due to the western cyclone. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha due to the impact of this depression.
