The Meteorological Department says that due to Western Disturbance, there may be snowfall in Jammu Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on February 27. At the same time, there may be rain with thunder in some states of the country including Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh.

Seasonal activities across the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, the Western Disturbance is seen as a trough in the mid-tropospheric westerly winds, with its axis 5.8 km above the mean level, running along about north of 30°N latitude and 53°E longitude. Has been. At the same time, jet stream winds with a maximum speed of up to 135 knots are blowing over Northeast India at 12.6 km above sea level.

Apart from this, another low pressure line extends 3.1 km above sea level north of 25 degree north latitude along about 94 degree east longitude. A truck is spread from Vidarbha to North Kerala via Marathwada and Karnataka. A fresh active Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from February 29.

Delhi’s climate

There is an alert of light rain in Delhi today. At the same time, due to the effect of western disturbance, there are chances of rain and thundershowers in Delhi between March 1 and 2. According to IMD, the minimum temperature of Delhi may remain between 10 to 13 degrees Celsius this entire week. The maximum temperature is likely to be between 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.

Weather condition across the country

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, on February 27 also, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and different parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

In view of the active Western Disturbance, rain and snowfall activities may occur at many places in the Western Himalayan region between March 1 and 4 but will be with peak intensity on March 2 and 3. There may be light rain and some moderate snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh for the next 4 to 5 days.

Apart from this, sporadic light rain is possible in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 28 and 29 February. On February 27, there may be rain with lightning in Chhattisgarh, Marathwada and Vidarbha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Whereas in Eastern Madhya Pradesh till 28 February and in Western Madhya Pradesh on 27 February, there may be light to moderate rain and thundershowers along with sporadic heavy rain and hailstorm.
