Lucknow. The torrential rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday was just a trailer. According to the Meteorological Department, the series of torrential rain and thunderstorm will continue even further.
On Thursday also, a red alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorm in dozens of districts of the state. On Wednesday, there was heavy rain in many districts including the capital Lucknow. The capital Lucknow was completely flooded with water.
The districts for which the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain on Thursday include Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Bijnor, Moradabad and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department has also advised people to remain alert.

The weather department has issued a warning of rain and lightning with thunder in many districts , including Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas are included.
