IMD issued red alert, Heavy rain for next 48 hours, schools closed in these districts

Weather Update: Monsoon is kind to UP even in the month of September. Amidst the movement of clouds, rain continues in different parts of UP.

The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain in many districts of the state on Thursday.

According to IMD, there will be rain in more than 26 districts of UP on Thursday. A red alert for rain has also been issued in 10 districts. These include Agra, Mathura, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Hathras, Bijnor, Rampur, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Farrukhabad.

Orange and yellow alerts have also been issued in many areas. Not only this, due to the heavy rain alert in many districts of UP, holidays have been declared on 12th and 13th September in schools up to 12th standard.

There is a holiday in schools today and tomorrow in many districts including Etah, Hathras, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Agra and Jalaun. The Meteorological Department has also issued an appeal to people to remain alert.

BHU’s meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that on September 12 and 13, there will be heavy rain in many districts of eastern and western UP. After that, the weather will take a U-turn again from September 15.

Let us tell you that on Wednesday, it rained in more than 50 districts of UP. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall was recorded in Bundelkhand. It rained in many districts including Lucknow, Jhansi, Sambhal, Lalitpur.
