According to the IMD, isolated heavy rains are also expected over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. If we talk about North West India, there are strong chances of heavy rains with thunder, lightning and strong winds in the plains. On the other hand, if we talk about the Western Himalayan regions, there may be light to moderate rain with snowfall, thunder, lightning and strong winds.

At the same time, there is a possibility of hailstorm in various areas including Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rains accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty winds for the next three days in the southern parts of the country.

Effect of rain will be seen in southern states

What are the prospects in Eastern India

In fact, for the next five days, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunder, lightning and strong winds in eastern India. Hailstorm may also occur over Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. Heavy rains may occur over small areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till May 2 and over Odisha today. Heavy rain is very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on May 1 and May 2 and over Assam and Meghalaya from May 1 to May 4.
