IMD issued alert of major change in weather, warning of rain in these states

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of major changes in the weather across the country in the coming days. It has predicted rain, snowfall, thunderstorms and increase in temperature in many areas.

Strong winds, heavy rains and heatwaves are expected due to different weather patterns from the northern hills to the southern and northeastern states.

According to the IMD, a cyclone originating from Iraq is slowly moving towards the northern hilly states of India, which is likely to bring rain in these areas. At the same time, another cyclone is developing over Bangladesh, which is likely to bring rain in the eastern and northeastern states in the next five days.

Temperatures continue to fluctuate

The weather department has also predicted hot and humid weather conditions in Konkan and Goa till March 12. Apart from this, similar weather conditions will prevail in Gujarat, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe. According to the IMD, maximum temperatures may increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius over northwest India in the next four days, but no significant change in temperature is expected thereafter. Central and eastern India, as well as Maharashtra, may see a sharp increase in maximum temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius during the next five days.

Rain Alert in these states

The IMD has predicted heavy rains in various parts of India till March 15 due to the impact of two cyclonic circulations. The weather is expected to remain bad in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from March 10 to 15. In which rain, heavy snowfall and thunderstorms may occur. Similarly, there is a danger of lightning along with thunder and rain in Punjab and Haryana on March 12 and 13. Rajasthan may also receive rain between March 13 and 15.

Rain alert in Kerala-Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are likely to receive rain on March 11. While Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep and South Interior Karnataka may receive rain on March 11 and 12. Thus, there is a possibility of major changes in the weather across the country in the coming days and citizens should be prepared for these weather changes.
