According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast Assam today. Rain is expected in the Northeast tomorrow i.e. on February 23 as well. However, IMD has warned that due to the heatwave in the coming days, the temperature may break records. On the other hand, in the coming time, the sky, slow wind speed and the change of wind direction towards the south-east can be due to the increase in temperature. However, there is no possibility of any type of western disturbance in the coming time.

According to the Meteorological Department, usually very strong western disturbances were seen in February. Because of which rain was seen in most of the states of the country. But this time, instead of any strong, weak Western disturbances are becoming active. Due to which the increase in temperature is also being seen. Due to this, there was neither rain in the plains nor snowfall in the mountains.

The Meteorological Department has predicted lightning at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur on Wednesday. Along with this, there may be hailstorm in Northeast Assam. Maximum temperatures are likely to be 3 to 5 degrees above normal over northwest, central and west India during the next five days. At the same time, there will not be any significant change in the maximum temperature over the rest of the country during the next 5 days.
