Amidst the severe cold in Punjab, big news (Heavy rain warning) has come out for the people. According to the information, the Meteorological Department has made a big prediction.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in 7 districts of Punjab Faridkot, Muktsar, Fazilka, Barnala, Sangrur, Bathinda and Moga. Due to this, people will have to face huge problems. Along with this, an orange alert of dense fog has been issued in the state on January 12 and 13.
Yellow alert has also been issued for fog in other districts including Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur and Amritsar. People are facing a lot of problems due to dense fog. The Meteorological Department says that this series may continue for the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, cold winds after the rain have made people shiver. Heavy rainfall has also occurred in other places in Punjab including Bathinda, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Barnala, Fazilka in the evening. Along with this, Gurdaspur city has been the coldest in the state. The minimum temperature here has been recorded at 3.8 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists have issued an orange alert regarding dense fog in the state on January 12 and 13.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, Bathinda received the highest rainfall of 13 mm, Faridkot 10 mm, Fazilka 6 mm, Barnala 3 mm and Ferozepur 1 mm. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of the country on Sunday as well. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. Along with this, more than 70 mm of rainfall was recorded in some parts of Tamil Nadu on Saturday. There is a possibility of rain today too.
Along with the cold wave, the entire North India is in the grip of dense fog. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Bihar. Visibility has been recorded as low as 50 in these states. Due to dense fog in Delhi, more than 300 flights had to be cancelled, many trains were running late for more than 24 hours and vehicles were also roaming on the roads. Although there was relief from the fog due to rain on Saturday, the Meteorological Department has again issued a fog alert today.
