At the same time, a decrease of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in maximum temperature was also observed in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, North Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
There was a strong storm in the national capital Delhi on Friday. Due to strong winds, many trees broke and fell down. In some places, electric poles also fell down. Due to these reasons, there was a traffic jam at many places. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain in Delhi-NCR in the coming few hours.
According to a report by Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain and thundershowers accompanied with strong winds, dust storms and lightning are likely over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 24 hours.
Dust storms may occur in Rajasthan. There is a possibility of rain and showers in some areas. While light to moderate rain may occur in some places of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, south Odisha coast, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and coastal Karnataka may receive light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places.
