IMD has issued a red alert for these states, heavy rain will occur in the next 24 hours

The Meteorological Department issued a warning late Friday evening and declared a red alert in the coastal areas of North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh and southern areas. Cyclone ‘Fengal’, which arose from the Bay of Bengal, is moving at a fast pace and is likely to reach the coastal areas of Karaikal and Mahabalipuram.

Speed ​​and effect of the cyclone

According to the Meteorological Department, the speed of cyclone ‘Fengal’ was between 55 to 85 kilometers per hour on November 29. This speed can increase to 55 to 90 kilometers per hour on November 30. Due to this, there is a possibility of loss of life and property due to heavy rains and strong winds in the coastal areas. The administration has advised people to stay in safe places and stay away from the beaches.

Clear sky in Delhi-NCR, cold winds knock

The weather is expected to be clear in NCR areas like Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, and Gurugram.

The sky will remain clear from November 30 to December 2.

The maximum temperature is expected to be between 25 to 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 8 to 12 degrees Celsius.
Due to the indirect effect of the cyclone, cold winds may blow in the morning and late evening.

Problems will increase due to smog and fog

Air quality is likely to deteriorate in NCR. Smog and fog are likely to prevail due to slow winds (4 to 8 km/h).

Experts have advised to do light exercise indoors.

Fog in North India, snowfall in Himachal

Uttar Pradesh: Dense fog will prevail in the morning and night. However, there will be light sunshine during the day.

Himachal Pradesh: Heavy snowfall and cold are likely to increase in the next four days.

Intense cold wave conditions may develop in the mountainous regions with the temperature falling.

Madhya Pradesh: With the activation of Western Disturbance here, fog and cold may increase further in the coming days.

Safety instructions and preparations

In coastal areas: The administration has made preparations for relief and rescue

operations. Emergency services have been put on high alert.

In NCR: Wear N95 masks to avoid pollution. Avoid morning walks.

In Himalayan regions: Local residents and tourists have been advised to be cautious and use warm clothes during snowfall.

Citizens in all concerned areas have been appealed to remain alert and follow the instructions of the Meteorological Department.
