Cold has started showing its colours in the country. While there is snowfall in the hilly areas, fog and cold wave alert is issued in the plains. Meanwhile, cyclonic storms are also knocking again and again. Due to which there is heavy rain in the southern states. The cyclonic storm has returned once again.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding this. A well marked low pressure area is formed in the south-west of the Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka coast. Cyclonic circulation is spread over it. There is a possibility of an upper air cyclone forming over the South Andaman Sea around 14 December.

It is expected to form a low pressure area by December 15 and move towards the Tamil Nadu coast in the west-northwest during the next 48 hours. Due to its impact, a heavy rain alert has been issued in many states of South India. Many states may experience severe rain.

Severe cold in Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave is predicted in the national capital Delhi today (14 December 2024). Due to this the mercury will drop and the cold will increase. According to the IMD, on December 14, the minimum temperature in Delhi can reach 6 degrees and the maximum temperature can reach 21 degrees. There will also be fog during this time. On December 15, the minimum temperature can reach 6 degrees and the maximum temperature can reach 20 degrees.

At the same time, on 18 and 19 December, the minimum temperature can be recorded at 6 degrees and the maximum temperature at 20 degrees. The weather is changing rapidly in North India. At the same time, there is heavy snowfall in the hilly areas. It is becoming difficult for people to leave the house. In some places, the situation is such that the sun is not even visible.

Heavy rain expected in South India

According to the Meteorological Department, rain continues in many states of South India. In the next 24 hours, there may be rain in some parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. At the same time, rain can be seen in Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep. Due to this, the weather will also change in Telangana. There will be mild cold in the morning and night.
