IMD Alert : Weather department has issued warning of rain and dense fog in these states

IMD Alert: The winter season is looking a bit strange this time. In the month of January, North India has started feeling hot due to strong sunlight during the day, which is surprising even for meteorologists. The Meteorological Department has predicted the effect of 4 western disturbances by February 5, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rain and fog in many states.

Possibility of rain and fog in Delhi-NCR

Along with cold, heat will also be felt in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Morning and evening will be cold, but hotness can be felt during the day due to strong sunlight. There is a possibility of light rain on 3 and 4 February, which can reduce the temperature a little.

Where will there be heavy rain and snowfall?

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain and fog may affect many states in the next few days. Especially in the states of North India, such as Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh, there is a possibility of snowfall along with cold. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh may receive light snowfall and rain, while Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala are also expected to receive rain at some places.

Where will the fog be?

Dense fog is expected in many states. The effect of fog can be seen in Delhi, UP, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam and West Bengal. Light rain with strong winds is forecast in Chandigarh.

What is IMD’s forecast saying?

According to IMD, between February 1 and 4, Western Disturbance will affect North West India, due to which light rain, snowfall and fog can be seen at many places. At the same time, there may be rain and snowfall in some places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till February 4.
