IMD Alert! There will be rain in 6 states today, there is a possibility of strong winds and lightning

The weather seems to be changing once again. Rain has knocked as soon as the summer started. The temperature has dropped due to light rain in Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas.

The Meteorological Department says that the rain is not going to stop for the next two-three days. According to the IMD, there will be sporadic to heavy rain with thunder in Odisha on 22 and 23 February. During this time, winds will blow at a speed of 40-60 km per hour and there is also a possibility of lightning. Similar weather is going to prevail in West Bengal and Jharkhand on Saturday-Sunday. Strong winds will blow whose speed will be up to 30-40 km per hour. Rain and lightning are expected along with thunder. The situation of Sikkim, Rajasthan and Bihar will also be similar where light rain may occur today and tomorrow.

Rain in Rajasthan, weather remains dry

Due to the effect of the new western disturbance in Rajasthan, light rain occurred at some places including Sangaria in Hanumangarh district in the last 24 hours. The spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said that the weather remained generally dry in the rest of the state. He said that during this period, 0.5 mm of rain fell in Sangaria. Drizzle was also recorded at some other places. The minimum temperature in Sangaria was recorded at 7.8 degrees and Fatehpur at 9.7 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, today the border areas of western Rajasthan are expected to remain partly cloudy and there may be light drizzle at some places. In most of the remaining areas, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry for the next four-five days. In the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is likely to fall by two to four degrees while the minimum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius. The temperature may again increase slightly from February 23.

Fresh snowfall in Kashmir Valley

Fresh snowfall occurred at many places in Kashmir on Friday. Intermittent rain occurred in the plains. Officials said that famous tourist places Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam received snowfall overnight. They said that snowfall was also recorded in Anantnag, Zojila Pass, Banihal, Sadhna Pass, Machil in Kupwara and Rajdan Pass in Bandipora. Intermittent rain occurred overnight in the plains of the valley including Srinagar. The Meteorological Department said that the weather will generally remain dry till February 22-24, but cloudy weather is expected. During February 25-28, light to moderate rain or snowfall may occur at most places while heavy rain may occur at some places. This year the winter in Kashmir has been mostly dry. About 80 percent reduction in rainfall has been recorded in the months of January and February.
