IMD Alert! There will be heavy rain in these states in the next 48 hours

IMD Alert: The weather is going to change in many parts of India due to the activation of the new western disturbance. Due to this change, many states may experience heavy rains, hailstorms and strong winds. 

Due to the activation of the western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in North India. While there is a possibility of thunderstorms and hailstorms in the eastern and northeastern regions.

The weather has suddenly changed in the hilly areas of North India, where it is raining and snowing. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in many parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and has also issued a warning of hailstorm in some areas.

Possibility of rain, strong winds and hail

Currently, the Western Disturbance is active. Due to which light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Also, there is a danger of lightning along with thunder. The cyclonic circulation of upper air over southwest Rajasthan and southeast Uttar Pradesh will affect the weather pattern, due to which rain, strong winds and hailstorms are expected in parts of Chhattisgarh.

Rain Alert in these states

A new western disturbance will affect North-West India from today i.e. 2 March, which may cause rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from 2-4 March. Heavy snowfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on 3 March. Along with this, due to a trough line in eastern India, rain and snowfall is also expected in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland.
