UP Weather Update: The weather in UP is fluctuating. On Monday morning, it suddenly started raining in different areas of Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Deoria and surrounding districts. Hail also fell at some places.

However, it stopped within a few minutes. After some time, the sun also came out. On Sunday also, the effect of western disturbance was seen in eastern UP. Light clouds remained in the sky and westerly winds blew. The humidity of the air increased by about 6 to 8 percent. However, the clouds disappeared from the sky after noon. The rays of the sun once again came into their full glory. The effect of change in weather was seen on the day temperature. In the last 24 hours, the day temperature fell by about one degree Celsius. The Meteorological Department says that during the next 2 days, after a gradual fall of 2 degrees to 4 degrees in the maximum temperature, there is a possibility of a gradual increase of the same. On 21st and 22nd March, there may be rain and thundershowers at some places in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum day temperature in Gorakhpur on Sunday was 36.2 degrees Celsius. This is five degrees Celsius more than normal. After the unbridled heat on Saturday, Sunday morning started with light dark clouds. Light dark clouds were covering the sky. A mild cool westerly wind blew. On Sunday morning, the people of Gorakhpur felt that they would get relief from the heat during the day. But the mood of the weather changed after noon. As the day progressed, the clouds disappeared from the sky. The rays of the Sun started spewing fire. The weather became like May in March itself. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be partly cloudy sky in eastern UP on Monday as well. There may be a drop in the day temperature.

The sun’s intensity softened in Prayagraj, the temperature dropped by five degrees
There is a continuous fluctuation in the weather. The continuous increase in the maximum temperature since 11 March came to a halt on Sunday. The sun which was scorching like Vaishakh on Saturday also softened its tone. Due to light rain at some places and drizzle at other places, the temperature dropped by five degrees Celsius in 24 hours. While the maximum temperature on Saturday was 39.6 degrees Celsius, it was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The minimum temperature which was 19.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday increased to 22.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. This minimum temperature is the highest of this season. Earlier, the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.0 degrees on 13 March and 19.4 degrees on 15 March. According to the Meteorological Department, surface winds will blow during the day on 18 and 19 March and there are chances of rain on 21 and 22 March.

Rain in varanasi

Due to the weakening of the western disturbance active in Purvanchal, the clouds were limited to drizzle on Sunday. Due to the wind direction not changing, there was heavy thunder and lightning at some places due to lightning. According to the agricultural scientist, if it had rained, wheat, oilseed and pulse crops would have been damaged. However, the danger is not over yet. As per the weather department’s forecast, the active easterly wind from the Bay of Bengal can cause hailstorm along with rain in Purvanchal on the coming Friday and Saturday. Before this, on 18 and 19 March, westerly wind will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour on the surface.

Earlier on Sunday, drizzle started with strong winds at around 5 am. It stopped after five to ten minutes. After this, it started again at around eight o’clock. There was bright sunshine at around ten in the day. After one o’clock in the afternoon, the weather changed again and dark clouds covered the sky. People also started discussing the return of cold. According to the Meteorological Department of BHU, the day temperature was recorded 6.1 degrees above normal at 37.5 and the night temperature was 5.1 degrees above normal at 21.6 degrees Celsius.

The weather will remain dry for three days

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry from 17 to 20 March. After this, the easterly wind blowing from the Bay of Bengal will bring a change in the weather. According to the Regional Meteorological Center Lucknow, there is a possibility of drizzle in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Ballia and Varanasi on 21 and 22 due to the effect of moist easterly wind. Meteorologist Prof. Manoj Srivastava said that the temperature will rise again from 24 March. There is a forecast of heat wave like conditions at the end of March.

The hottest night of the season in Kanpur

Kanpur city remained untouched by the effect of western disturbance. In such a situation, the heat increased due to strong sunlight. The day temperature was already high, now the night temperature has touched a new high. On Sunday night, the highest temperature of the season (March) was recorded at 18.4 degrees which is 06.2 degrees more than normal.

Due to the three western disturbances that came together, this time its effect was felt from the mountains to the plains. According to the forecast, its effect was to be seen in Kanpur in eastern UP, but it did not happen. On the contrary, its effect was seen in Prayagraj and its surrounding areas.

Due to the frequent change in the direction of the wind, neither there were many clouds nor strong winds in Kanpur. On Sunday, the maximum temperature went from 35.4 to 34.4 degrees Celsius. The temperature decreased by one degree but it was 04.6 degrees Celsius more than normal. The slight decrease in temperature occurred due to the formation of a strip of light clouds. The day temperature increased due to the clouds not being dense.
