As winter is gradually receding in North India, a new western disturbance has become active, causing rain and snowfall in many areas. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a snowfall alert has been issued in the high altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, while light rain is expected in Delhi-NCR and other areas of North India.

However, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is less chance of rain on Wednesday (February 5), but the level of fog may increase. Dense fog may be recorded in some areas. Apart from this, thunderstorms have also been seen in many areas of Delhi.

Delhi-NCR was engulfed in fog and mist in the morning, reducing visibility in some areas. IMD forecasts indicate that the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day, with light rain and thundershowers expected. Also, a dense fog warning has been issued for Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
Rain alert in these states
The Meteorological Department has said that light to moderate rain is expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Also, snowfall may also occur. Light rain warning has been issued in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.
How is the weather in Rajasthan?
IMD Jaipur has predicted a change in the weather of Rajasthan due to the western disturbance. Eastern and northern Rajasthan may receive light rain, while other parts of the state will remain dry. The day temperature is expected to increase slightly, which will increase the heat in the afternoon.
